Magnetic Wave Machine
Magnetic Wave Machine couples twenty-five 18″ magnets. The five inch ceramic magnets dynamically interact and react to visitors driving one or more pendulums by hand. The resultant behaviors are both predictable (like pendulums) and unpredictable as small groups of pendulums begin to break away, align together, and swing independently before realigning themselves their neighboring magnet/pendulums. Exciting a single pendulum can send slow waves through the entire system as the pendulums respond to both their own resonance and the magnetic pull of their immediate neighbors.
