Infalling Cloud
A deep, black cylinder is continuously filled with a dense mist generated by an ultrasonic humidifier. The upper surface of the mist forms a distinct boundary with the surrounding air. This boundary is very unstable and is constantly seething in waves and thermal convection patterns. Side lighting will bring out the shapes and textures of the cloud surface by fringing out the shadows.
