Color Temperature
Very hot objects glow with a color that depend on, and indicate, their temperature. Visitors try to match the brightness of one light bulb to a series of different preset bulbs. By matching the color, visitors determine the temperature of the different lights. Astronomers use color to determine the temperatures of stars.
